New trampoline park from ex-footballer Tom De Sutter opens its doors on Saturday: “There is a lot to do on this site”
13 de February, 2024
This Saturday, February 17, the brand new trampoline park of Sportclub Arenal Roeselare will open its doors along the Langebrugstraat. The 1,200 square meter trampoline park takes up half of the tennis hall. “The combination of the possibilities on this site is a very great asset,” says Tom De Sutter, co-founder of Arenal, which already has 10 locations in our country.
Entrepreneur Marc Coucke and former professional footballer Tom De Sutter have significantly expanded their padel company Arenal in recent years. There are now nine locations in Belgium and two in the Netherlands. “Where possible, we also look for a suitable combination between padel sport and something where children can fully enjoy themselves. There are now three trampoline parks: in Grimbergen, Mechelen and Lommel,” says Tom De Sutter, co-founder of Arenal.
Tennis and padel
Last year, the company also had its eye on the tennis and padel site along Langebrugstraat in Roeselare. “A beautiful place in the green in a vibrant city. With two outdoor courts and three indoor courts, there was already a beautiful padel facility here. We immediately saw opportunities to create a trampoline park here.” (Read more below the photo)
Preschoolers, young people, but also adults
In recent months, half of the tennis hall has been converted into a brand new jumping paradise. “Two of the existing indoor tennis courts have remained. The remaining 1,200 square meters of the hall is almost completely finished so that children can fully enjoy jumping there. There is plenty to experience on this site. While the parents play tennis or padel, children can have fun in the trampoline park. The combination of the different options on this site is a great asset.”
The trampoline park will open its doors for the first time this Saturday. There is always toddler jumping on Saturday mornings, and older children can burn off their energy in the afternoon. “Also the ideal place for a birthday party. We developed various formulas where the birthday boy or girl and his friends can enjoy fries, for example.” However, Arenal does not only target the youth. “A visit to the trampoline park can also be a very fun activity for company team buildings or bachelor parties.” (Read more below the photo)
The trampoline park in Roeselare is the same size as those at the other three locations. “But here extra emphasis has been placed on the interactive and competitive aspect. Visitors can compete against each other here during a small competition or complete fun assignments. I am a dad myself and I am sure that our children can enjoy themselves here for a few hours while I watch from the bar area or play a ball in the padel hall.” That bar area will be taken care of in the future. “We will open the trampoline park on Saturday, but we want to complete this site step by step.” (Read more below the photo)
The trampoline park will be open on Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. “On Friday evening we developed a nice pizza concept and the intention is to regularly present fun concepts. We are open every day during the school holidays,” says regional manager Thomas Lenaerts. He notices that the reservations for the parties are pouring in. “About a hundred jumpers can enjoy themselves in the hall at the same time. We recommend everyone to make a reservation every time. That can be done via www.arenal.be. We employ Jump Masters, similar to riders in a swimming pool, to keep an eye on things.”
