Leon Bailey (ex-KRC Genk) signs a new contract with Aston Villa

Leon Bailey has signed a new contract with Aston Villa. The Premier League club, which did not go into further detail about the agreement, announced this on Monday.

The still only 26-year-old winger from Jamaica arrived at Aston Villa in the summer of 2021, after coming over from Bayer Leverkusen. The German club had poached Bailey from KRC Genk in early 2017, where he had repeatedly shown what he could do. The Limburgers signed him in 2015 from the Slovak training club AS Trencin.

Bailey has so far scored sixteen goals and fifteen assists in 87 games at Aston Villa, which is currently in fifth place in the Premier League.
