Debut in a minor key: Slovenian goalkeeper substituted twenty(!) seconds after first whistle

Remarkable image from the Slovenian competition. Zan Lorber, goalkeeper of bottom line NK Rogaska, made his debut for the first team as a 17-year-old. Less than 30 seconds later he had to make way for the reserve goalkeeper again.

In Slovenia, every club must field at least one player who is eligible for selection as a youth international. But it is not clear how long a player must participate. And so trainer Drobne decided to circumvent the new rule in a cunning way. The coach’s move also almost resulted in a stunt. On the field of the second in the standings, Olimpija, it was 0-2 ahead. In the last fifteen minutes they relinquished their lead. Watch the images of the change below.
