Emma Meesseman named MVP of the Olympic qualifying tournament in Antwerp

Emma Meesseman was named Most Valuable Player of the Olympic qualifying tournament in Antwerp on Sunday. The 30-year-old power forward of the Belgian Cats averaged 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists in three games.

In addition to Meesseman, the Americans Napheesa Collier and Rhyne Howard, the Nigerian Amy Okonkwo and the Senegalese Yacine Diop are among the five of the tournament.

Four years ago, Emma Meesseman was also voted MVP at the Olympic qualifying tournament in Ostend.

In addition to the US, which was already assured of an Olympic ticket as reigning world champions, Belgium and Nigeria managed to qualify for Paris 2024.
