Only good news from competition leader Union. Despite the busy schedule of the people of Brussels, the rag basket is as good as empty. Mohamed Amoura (23) even flashes again.

Man of the match. That was Mohamed Amoura again last weekend. This time not with Union, but with the Algerian national team. His shoulder injury, which he suffered against Club Brugge at the beginning of November, is no longer an issue.
The lightning-fast striker will be back in no time after he was missing from Union’s selection for the match against KV Kortrijk just before the international break with a shoulder problem. Immediately afterwards, to the dissatisfaction of coach Alexander Blessin, he left for Algeria for obligations with the national team. Blessin then hoped out loud that Amoura would not make any minutes for Algeria so that he would have time to rest his shoulder, but they were not interested in that in Algeria.

The small striker played the entire second half of the World Cup qualifier against Somalia last week and last Sunday against Mozambique he came on for the injured Islam Slimani (ex-Anderlecht) after only thirteen minutes. Amoura immediately felt comfortable on the field again and no longer seems to be bothered by his shoulder. Especially after the match against Mozambique, he was showered with compliments in his home country. Algeria won 0-2 and both goals were set up by a great action by Amoura, who often won the ball thanks to his high pressure – Blessin might like to see it.
The Union striker made such an impression in his home country that there are already calls to make him a regular starter for Algeria, even though he has only been a permanent fixture in the selection for six months. So he is completely ready for Sunday’s clash with Union against AA Gent.

Gustaf Nilsson on his way back
The same applies to Charles Vanhoutte (25). The ex-player quickly became a key player in the midfield of the Brussels team, but injured himself in the match against KV Kortrijk just before the international break. He had to leave after half an hour with an ankle injury, but examination revealed no serious injury. He is expected to be fit again this weekend.

The only one who is still in the doldrums at Union is Gustaf Nilsson (26). However, according to our information, the Swede is also close to a return. He suffered a hamstring injury against Eupen at the end of October, but his rehabilitation is going smoothly and is almost over. Despite the busy schedule with competition, cup and Europa League, Union now has its full core again. Not bad after 21 games in four months.
