Galatasaray’s basketball women recorded their second victory in a row on the eleventh matchday in the Turkish KBSL. Julie Vanloo led her team to victory with a double-double.
The Belgian Cat was forced to miss Galatasaray’s previous competition match (75-87 win against Antalya). “I had an infection in my stomach,” said Vanloo. “As a result, I wasn’t able to train for a whole week.”
On Sunday, however, the West Flemish fury was on the parquet again… and how! Vanloo scored 15 points and 12 assists against Bellona Kayseri, which lost 89-85. Our compatriot achieved, among other things, an assist and was important for her team in the end.
Galatasaray is now fifth in the standings with 18 points (seven wins and four defeats). Emma Meesseman’s Fenerbahçe leads with 22 points (eleven wins and zero defeats).
