Lotto Volley League: Leader Roeselare fights for victory at Haasrode Leuven

Roeselare won the hard-fought top match against Haasrode Leuven 2-3 on Sunday on the sixth matchday of the Lotto Volley League. The set scores in the Leuven Sportoase were 25-13, 21-25, 40-38, 26-28 and 6-15. Especially in the third set, which the home team won 40-38, both teams skillfully kept each other in check.


On the sixth match day, Borgworm lost in its own home against Aalst 2-3 (22-25, 28-26, 25-18, 18-25 and 9-15). Red Lantern Achel defeated Guibertin 2-3 (20-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-21 and 12-15) in Mont-Saint-Guibert.

Maaseik defeated Menen 3-0 (25-21, 25-21 and 31-29) on Saturday on the sixth matchday. Ghent is free this match day.

Roeselare leads the Lotto Volley League with fourteen points from six games, ahead of Haasrode Leuven (12 points from 5 games) and Maaseik (10 points from 6 games). Guibertin (8 points from 5 games) is fourth. Menen (5 games), Ghent (5 games) and Borgworm (6 games) follow with six points. Aalst and Achel close the row with five points each (from five games).
