Draw on December 2 and 4 more practice matches (against Tedesco’s wishes): this is the Devils’ run-up to the European Championship

The last match has been played. The run-up to the European Championships can begin. Here is the provisional schedule of our Red Devils.

Saturday December 2: at 6 p.m. the draw for the European Championship final round in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. The Red Devils are the seed and thus avoid organizers Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and England. Then we have to wait and see where they will play. The Belgians want to play in the same city as much as possible in the first group stage. However, this is only possible if they are drawn as C3 (2x Munich), D3 (2x Berlin), E2 (2x Frankfurt), F1 (2x Dortmund) or F4 (2x Hamburg). A place in group A is impossible because organizer Germany is included in that group.

from Sunday December 3: the football association is looking for a home in Germany. There are already some ideas, but everything depends on the draw and where the Red Devils will play their matches. The group matches are usually spread throughout Germany.

from Monday December 4: a new period to buy tickets for the Red Devils during the group stage begins.

Friday March 22: practice match against opponent to be determined

Tuesday March 26: practice match England-Belgium at Wembley

week of May 20-26: announcement of the 23-man selection for the European Championships

27 mei: preparation for European Championships starts, but some players still get time off.

May 28-June 10: preparation for the European Championships with at least two practice matches. National coach Domenico Tedesco did not plan to play practice matches because he only had two weeks of preparation and he wanted to use them to work optimally tactically. UEFA imposes this on the participants and the association also wants a goodbye match.

14th of June: European Championship starts with competition organizer Germany in Munich.
