It was clear that after the 4-0 halftime score – thanks to four goals from Romelu Lukaku – the visitors had little desire to play football in Brussels in the second period. There was mainly defense and goalkeeper Magomedaliyev always tried to wait as long as possible before putting the ball back into play.
Referee Gergo Bogár had already pointed this out to the Adana Demirspor goalkeeper – where he is a teammate of infamous troublemaker Mario Balotelli – several times. Four minutes before the end, Bogár got fed up and gave Magomedaliyev a yellow card for wasting time, when he was 4-0 down. A few minutes later, Leandro Trossard made it 5-0.
