Red Devil Amadou Onana about the interest in the summer: “Clubs came knocking, but I want to give something back to Everton”

Amadou Onana (22), who left the Red Devils with a calf injury, was able to make a top transfer last summer. However, the midfielder chose to stay at Everton. Why exactly? He told

“I am convinced that there are no limits for me,” Amadou Onana opens the conversation. “I don’t want to sound arrogant, but I believe I can end up at a top club and play there regularly.” That was also possible last summer: as we reported then, there was interest from clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea. A transfer did not happen: “Clubs indeed came knocking, but I wanted to stay at Everton to develop and become a top player. Perhaps the best player.”

Onana is not concerned with the rumors, he says: “I try not to read anything and stay far away from it all. I want to focus on what is really important. Everton gave me the opportunity to play in the Premier League. I want to give something back for that. That is only possible with good performance.”

Onana still has a contract with Everton until 2027. His market value is estimated at 50 million euros, but Everton wants a lot more in a possible transfer.
