Kangaroos Mechelen easily puts aside Slovakian Slavia Banska Bystrica in the EuroCup


On the third matchday in group E of the EuroCup women’s basketball, Mechelen recorded a very smooth 60-96 victory against the Slovakian Slavia Banska Bystrica on Wednesday. At halftime it was already 26-60, after the third quarter it was 39-82.

After two wins and a defeat, Mechelen is the leader for a while. The still undefeated Panathinaikos will only play its match on Thursday. It then receives the Turkish Besiktas. The top two of the twelve groups and the best eight numbers three continue.

Elise Ramette won 64-88 with her Spanish club Cadi la Seu on the grounds of the Greek Eleftheria Moschatou. Ramette started in the starting line-up. In 23 minutes she scored two points (1/1 2pts, 0/1 3pts) and handed out nine assists. After two wins and a defeat, Cadi La Seu shares the lead in Group A with the French Flammes Carolo.

In the Euroleague, Emma Meesseman led her Turkish club Fenerbahce to a fourth success in as many games. The Italian Schio was defeated 90-64. With 24 points (10/15 2pts, 1/1 3pts, 1/1 free throws), nine rebounds and four assists, Meesseman was the Top Performer of the match.
