AS Roma suffered a painful defeat on the field of Genoa last night: 4-1. With only five points from six games, the Romans are at the bottom of Serie A and that is causing a lot of commotion among the fans.

The away match on the Genoa field was dramatic for coach José Mourinho’s team. The Portuguese saw Crystante score the equalizer halfway through the first half, but in the second half things went completely wrong for the Romans, also because Lukaku’s goal was disallowed for offside.

With five points from six games, the Romans have made a dramatic start and are currently in sixteenth place, already ten points behind leader Inter. The fans who traveled did not hide their disappointment. “We have had enough and want respect, we want you to work harder in the club’s shirt,” said the voice from the stands when the players apologized to the fans after the match.

Mourinho: “Worst start of my career”

José Mourinho himself did not let it bother him, referred to the lack of recovery time, but above all remained himself. “This is the worst start of my career, but it is also the first time in history that Roma starts a season after playing two European finals in a row,” said the Portuguese, who hopes for a quick turnaround. For AS Roma it is the worst competition start since the 2010-2011 season.
