SERIE A. Charles De Ketelaere and Atalanta enter the top four, Milan turns deficit into victory


Midweek football is on the agenda in Serie A this week. Charles De Ketelaere’s Atalanta could have won with the smallest difference at Hellas Verona on Wednesday. AC Milan turned a 0-1 deficit into a victory.

Red Devil Charles De Ketelaere recorded a narrow victory with Atalanta against Verona, Cyril Ngonge’s team, on Wednesday evening. Atalanta won 0-1 on matchday 6 in Serie A and, thanks to the victory, has entered the top four for the time being.

De Ketelaere started on the bench, but replaced Englishman Ademola Lookman in the attack at halftime. The scoreboard already showed 0-1 when he entered. De Ketelaere again had a strong attack, but missed a huge chance: CDK headed over from close range on an empty goal. Dutch international Teun Koopmeiners scored the only goal of the game after fifteen minutes. Ngonge was taken off after more than 70 minutes at Verona.

Milan turns deficit into victory

AC Milan also came into action in the early evening, they had to visit Cagliari. Milan fell behind after half an hour, but before half-time Okafor and Tomori completely turned the situation around in five minutes. On the hour mark, Loftus-Cheek also made it 1-3. Milan is currently in second place in Serie A.


Empoli wins by the smallest margin

Furthermore, Empoli won at home with the smallest difference against Salernitana. It was Tommaso Baldanzi who scored the only goal of the evening ten minutes before halftime.
