FC Barcelona is now in the lead in Spain with one point more, Girona also has 16 out of 18 and is second, Real third with fifteen points.

After just four coins, Morata scored his first from a cross from Samuel Lino.

Antoine Griezmann also made it 2-0 with a header. Toni Kroos scored the tying goal with a beautiful, low shot, but Morata sealed the victory for Atletico by heading in a ball from Saul Niguez after half-time. Yes, all three of Atlético’s goals were scored with a header, all from crosses from the left.

It was a deserved victory for Diego Simeone’s troops. They were smarter and more efficient than Real, who did not have the best evening.
