Female referee for Genk in Conference League against Fiorentina

UEFA appointed 39-year-old Frenchwoman Stéphanie Frappart as referee of the Conference League match KRC Genk-Fiorentina on Tuesday. The leading lady of arbitration refereed the final between the United States and the Netherlands at the Women’s World Cup in 2019, impressed in the Liverpool-Chelsea European Super Cup in the same year and has already played 67 matches in the French Ligue 1.

Frappart also managed Braga-Union in the Europa League and Real Madrid-Celtic in the Champions League last season and became the first female referee at a men’s World Cup in Qatar at Costa Rica-Germany. She comes from Le Plessis-Bouchard, a village about 20 kilometers above Paris.
