Gracenote gives defending champion Manchester City a 37 percent chance of succeeding themselves as Champions League winners. According to a study by the renowned sports data agency published on Monday, the team with Red Devils Kevin De Bruyne and Jérémy Doku has the best cards to lift the trophy with the big ears in the air in June 2024.
City’s main challengers, according to Gracenote, will be Real Madrid (13 percent) and Bayern Munich (11 percent). All other teams have a chance of winning that is six percent or less.
Antwerp will defend the Belgian colors at the champions ball this season. The Great Old opens on Tuesday evening with a move to FC Barcelona and will also meet Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk in group H. The chance that Antwerp will reach the top two of its group and therefore the knockout phase is estimated by Gracenote at only 15 percent. Of the 32 participants, only Young Boys (12 percent), Copenhagen (9 percent) and Red Star Belgrade (7 percent) have a lower chance of a ticket for the eighth finals.
