Novak Djokovic passes for Masters 1,000 in Shanghai: “I will miss my Chinese fans”

“In recent years, I have always received the best support in China worldwide. Shanghai has always been one of my favorite tournaments. Djokovic has already won the event in China four times (in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2018). The tournament, with a prize pool of 8.8 million dollars (8.25 million euros), is scheduled from October 4 to 15.

The 36-year-old Djokovic guided Serbia to the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup last weekend. Earlier this month he won his 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open.
