There were hardly any shifts to be noted in the new world rankings for men’s tennis on Monday. Due to the Davis Cup, there were no ATP tournaments on the calendar last week and everything at the top remains the same.
Novak Djokovic retains the number 1 position that he took over from Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz after his fourth title at the US Open. The Russian Daniil Medvedev remains third ahead of the Dane Holger Rune and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. Nothing changes in the rest of the top 40 either.

David Goffin signed with the Belgian Davis Cup selection in Hasselt last weekend, but did not play against Uzbekistan because he did not feel top fit. Even without the Liège native, the Belgians, with Steve Darcis as captain for the first time, matched the Uzbeks and qualified for the jump-offs for participation in the Davis Cup Finals in 2024.
Goffin remains number 100 in the world on Monday and the best-placed Belgian. Zizou Bergs (172nd, +4) jumps over Joris De Loore (177th, -11). The latter was decisive in the success of the Belgian team with two victories in the singles. Kimmer Coppejans (186th, -2) lost the other singles match.
