Brazil is one of the participants of the night at UFC Night, which will be held this Saturday (16), at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, United States. We will have a Brazilian presence on the main card, Daniel Lacerda, who will face Mexican Edgar Chairez. The event starts at 8pm (Brasília time), with the preliminaries and the main at 11pmwith transmission of UFC Fight Pass, in streaming. The main fight will be between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko.
The event gets its name because it is held on Mexican Independence Day, a special date for the local population. The chosen date marks 213 years since the beginning of the War of Independence, which at the time, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla led the ‘Cry of Dolores’, in the state of Guanajuato, and became the main instigator of a process of popular dissatisfaction among Mexicans with the Spain, which colonized the country.
In the main fight, Grasso puts the only Mexican belt on the line in a rematch against Shevchenko.
