Ostend secured a third BNXT Supercup in a row on Saturday. The Belgian champion won on the field of Dutch champion and BNXT champion ZZ Leiden with a clear 59-89 score (halftime: 27-48). It thus took revenge for the lost title final in the BNXT League.

Sam Van Rossom celebrated his return to the coastal team. He provided seven assists and divided the game among the visitors who easily defeated the home team. Captain Pierre-Antoine Gillet (21 points and 10 rebounds) and Damien Jefferson (20 points) were the best at shooting. At ZZ Leiden, Luuk Van Bree (11 pts) was the top scorer.

Ostend also won the BNXT Supercup in each of the previous two seasons, in 2021 against ZZ Leiden (68-90) and in 2022 against Heroes Den Bosch (82-90).
