Neymar helps Brazil to an easy victory with two goals and overtakes Pelé as the all-time top scorer

Brazil took on Bolivia on Friday evening in their first qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. An obstacle that was quickly overcome, as two goals from Rodrygo and one from Raphinha (assisted by Neymar) had given Brazil an early reassuring lead.

In the 61st minute Neymar scored the 4-0 and that was a goal for the history books. It was his 78th goal ever for the Brazilians, overtaking legend Pele as the best shooter ever for the national team. In injury time he even added one more by scoring the 5-1 final score.

Neymar now has 79 goals in 125 matches for Brazil, compared to 77 for Pelé, who only played 92 matches.
