Is top transfer coming for Red Devil? “Liverpool talks to Southampton about the transfer of Roméo Lavia”

Will our country soon have a footballer at one of the top clubs in the Premier League? Reputed German football journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports reports that Liverpool are in talks with Southampton about a transfer of Belgian midfielder Roméo Lavia (19). According to him, Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp would be very happy to have the one-time Red Devil there.

Lavia would say Sky Sports are also open to the transfer. An agreement has not yet been reached: Southampton would like fifty million pounds – just under sixty million euros – for Lavia, Liverpool hopes that it will The Saints can tempt with a smaller amount.

The report of the talks between Liverpool and Southampton was already greeted with cheers by a whole host of Liverpool fans on social media on Tuesday morning. Lavia is only nineteen years old but impressed in his first ever season in the Premier League. In March, national coach Domenico Tedesco also allowed him to make his debut with the Red Devils in the 2-3 friendly match against Germany. Arsenal and Chelsea also kept an eye on him, but it would now be Liverpool that takes the first initiative.

Liverpool are desperately looking for fresh blood in midfield after seeing Naby Keita and James Milner leave on a free transfer this summer. That list of departures will soon also be supplemented with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, both of whom are almost complete with clubs in Saudi Arabia.

The Reds previously brought in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, but they are more aggressive. Lavia could be of service lower down the field.
