The Belgian Cats will play their quarterfinals of the European Championship on Thursday at 3 pm in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. The tournament organization announced the program for the start of the final phase on Tuesday.


The Belgian basketball women made the crossing from Israel to Slovenia on Tuesday morning. They opened their European Championship with three group victories in Tel Aviv. In the quarterfinals, they will meet the winner of the jump-off match between defending champion Serbia and Great Britain on Thursday. That is scheduled for tonight at 9 p.m.

In the other quarter-finals on Thursday in the Arena Stozice in Ljubljana, Hungary-Czech Republic (at 12:15 PM), France-Montenegro (at 6:00 PM) and Spain versus the winner of Germany-Slovakia (at 8:45 PM) are scheduled. Germany and Slovakia meet tonight in their jump-off match at 6 pm.

The Belgian Cats train in Ljubljana on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday.
