Will Yorbe Vertessen’s transfer to Union Berlin be called off in the final analysis? In the Netherlands it sounds that PSV wants to bring back the Belgian attacker, who has been in Berlin since Sunday. Cause: Noa Lang’s injury.

PSV has been put in a difficult position by the departure of Yorbe Vertessen in combination with the retirement of Noa Lang. Lang, a former Club Brugge trendsetter, suffered a hamstring injury during the league match against Almere City (2-0) last weekend, which has kept him sidelined for a while. As a result, the flush on the flanks suddenly became very thin. The Eindhoven team already tried to free the 21-year-old Dutch Moroccan Couhaib Driouech from Excelsior Rotterdam, but so far without success.

As a result, PSV would now like to put an end to the transfer from Vertessen to Union Berlin, which is a source of great surprise to the player’s entourage. It can be heard that a return to PSV is no longer seen as an option. According to sources close to him, the player still assumes that PSV will fulfill all agreements and, as agreed, will cooperate in his transfer to the German capital.

All conditions met

Vertessen has been in Berlin since Sunday and even attended the league match against Darmstadt (1-0). He also successfully passed all his medical tests on Monday and was scheduled to be presented on Monday evening, but PSV is refusing to release him for the time being, which is necessary to complete the transfer. It is said that in Eindhoven they finally changed their mind.

Earlier this month, Vertessen agreed with Earnest Stewart, technical director of PSV, that he would fully commit himself to PSV for two more games – Feyenoord for the cup and Almere City for the competition – and then make the switch to Union Berlin. The Belgian simply did that. In his opinion, he has fulfilled all agreements and it is now up to PSV to fulfill their part.

Will it arrive on Tuesday?

According to the player’s entourage, Lang’s injury cannot be a reason to no longer cooperate in a transfer, because it could have occurred a few days later and PSV would then no longer have been able to carry out a recall action. Both Vertessen and Union Berlin expect that the transfer can still be completed on Tuesday, so that he can hit the training field in Berlin.
