Three-time player of the year Jean-Marc Jaumin was also able to return to Ostend to manage the youth school, Ostend COREtec Basketball Academy, and the partner team KBGO Basket@Sea (Top Division Two). However, he prefers to coach a first team in the BNXT League.
After Jaumin ended his playing career in 2006 with a national title at Ostend, he took on various positions with the West Flemings: coach-recruiter of the youth school, assistant coach of the first team and eventually also coach of the first team of Ostend. This came to an end at the end of November 2011.
The past eleven seasons, Jaumin has been working as a coach in the Netherlands (Den Helder Kings and Heroes Den Bosch), Switzerland (Lugano Tigers and Lions de Genève) and in our country (Okapi Aalst and Brussels).
Gerrard Vinke, chairman of the board, is enthusiastic about Jaumin’s arrival: ”We are very happy that Jean-Marc Jaumin is taking up his position as new coach here in Zwolle. Jean-Marc already has the necessary experience in the Dutch basketball competition. We are convinced that together with him we can take Landstede Hammers to a higher level. We look forward to a pleasant cooperation and a good course of the coming season.”
