Laura Heyrman qualified for the final of the Champions League women's volleyball with Vero Volley Milano on Tuesday. After losing the second leg of its semi-final against Turkish Fenerbahce 3-1 (25-15, 26-28, 25-22, 25-23), Vero Volley needed a golden set to advance. The Italians had won the first leg in Milan 3-0. In the golden set, Heyrman and her teammates still won 11-15.

An Italian and a Turkish club will also face each other in the other semi-final, with Conegliano and Eczacibasi. Coneglino won the first leg 3-2, the second leg will be played in Turkey on Thursday.

For thirty-year-old Heyrman it will be the fourth European final in a row and the second in a row in the Champions League. Last year, the Yellow Tiger with Eczacibasi suffered a 3-1 defeat against Vakifbank Istanbul in an all-Turkish final. In 2022 she won the CEV Cup with the same Eczacibasi, which she can now see again in the final, and in 2021 she already won that second European cup tournament with Monza.
