Clement and De Ketelaere go to Portugal, Romelu Lukaku looks into the eyes of English Brighton: these are the eighth finals in the Europa League

The Czech Sparta Prague came out first. The Czechs surprised Dries Mertens’ Galatasaray on Thursday evening. In the eighth finals they can again prepare for a difficult clash. This time against Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

AS Roma came out on top against Feyenoord after a penalty shootout. Belgian-Serbian goalkeeping talent Mile Svilar turned out to be an absolute hero with two penalty saves, while Romelu Lukaku missed out. The Romans are now fighting the English town of Brighton & Hove Albion. There too we find an ex-Anderlecht goalkeeper in Bart Verbruggen.

Philippe Clement’s Rangers, current league leader in Scotland, in turn travel to Lisbon for a duel with Benfica. It will also be a trip to the Portuguese capital for Charles De Ketelaere and Atalanta Bergamo. Sporting, the current competition leader, is waiting for the Italians.

The first legs will be played on March 7, the returns will be played a week later on March 14.
