Igor Thiago will almost certainly become Club Brugge’s new striker. The 21-year-old Brazilian shared a photo on social media on Friday – which he later deleted – of himself wearing a blue and black shirt.
Last week we already announced that Club showed extensive interest in Thiago from the Bulgarian Ludogorets and that he wanted to make the switch. The great Brazilian center forward has scored nineteen times this season across all competitions. He also had eleven assists.
At the end of February, Thiago was almost responsible for the elimination of the Purple & White in the Conference League. He then scored in both matches – once with the header, once with his ‘lesser’ left -, but the Bulgarians lost out in the penalty shootout.
In principle, Thiago will be Club’s third summer transfer after 18-year-old Spanish striker Victor Barbera from FC Barcelona B and 23-year-old Polish winger Michal Skoras from Lech Poznan. Hugo Vetlesen (23), the Norwegian midfielder of Bodo/Glimt, is emphatically in the picture for midfield.
