The Belgian Cats, number 7 in the world, will play an exhibition match against Greece (FIBA 17) on Friday evening (8 pm). The selection of national coach Rachid Méziane is in full preparation for the European Championships that will take place from 15 to 25 June in Israel (Tel Aviv) and Slovenia (Ljublijana).

Last week, the Belgian Cats completed the first two exhibition games of this preparation. Emma Meesseman and her teammates won once against European champion Serbia. The second party brought a defeat in Serbia.
Meanwhile, Julie Vanloo and Kyara Linskens have joined the selection. Julie Allemand (rest after French title), Laure Resimont (nose), Nastja Claessens (quadriceps) and Hind Ben Abdelkader (knee) are not available tonight. Emma Meesseman, Julie Vanloo, Kyara Linskens, Antonia Delaere, Billie and Becky Massey, Ine Joris, Elise Ramette, Serena Lynn Geldof, Maxuella Lisowa and debutants such as Habibatou Bah and Bethy Mununga will be present.

On Sunday (4 pm) the Belgian Cats practice again against Greece and in Braine-l’Alleud. Next week, the Belgian Cats practice twice in Gordoba, Spain, and versus Spain and Turkey. On 8 June there will be an exhibition match in Kortrijk against China and on Saturday 10 June the farewell match in the Leuven Sportoase and again against China.
