Spain’s Paula Badosa, the former world No. 2 who now ranks 29th in the WTA ranking, reported on Thursday that she had to pass for Roland Garros due to a stress fracture.
“In Rome I suffered a stress fracture in my spine,” the 25-year-old Spanish wrote on social media. She further stated that she will not be able to play competitive tennis for “a few weeks”. “This is very bad news after such a difficult start to the season due to injuries.”
