Baptiste Santamaria already took an early lead in the fourteenth minute. Eighteen minutes later, Amine Gouiri heralded the start of eight crazy minutes for Rennes by nodding in from close range on a cross from Karl Toko Ekambi. Barely five minutes later, Doku started a long rush in his own half, he shot the ball into goal via the post.

Shortly afterwards, Hamari Traore unleashed Amine Gouiri, who hit his second of the afternoon against the nets. The Corsicans had to empty the chalice to the bottom after the break. Mickael Alphonse received a red card, Amine Gouiri completed his hat-trick ten minutes later. In the 64th minute, Doku was replaced by the Belgian Moroccan Ibrahim Salah (ex-Ghent), Arthur Theate did not participate.

In the Ligue 1 standings, Rennes continues to have the prospect of a European ticket. It is sixth one point behind number five Lille. Ajaccio, eighteenth in the standings, was already sent to second class by PSG last week.
