Dream transfer beckons for Siebe Van der Heyden: Union is negotiating with Mallorca

Union is in advanced negotiations with Mallorca about a transfer of Siebe Van der Heyden (25). The defender has had a personal agreement with Mallorca for some time and an agreement is now also approaching at club level. Union hopes for a transfer amount of about three million euros, which can rise to four million euros via bonuses.

Mallorca also pulled Van der Heyden’s sleeve last summer. The Spanish club was then ready to pay more than two million euros, but Union did not want to let him go at that time. In recent months, player and club had verbally agreed that Van der Heyden could leave with a good offer.

After Teddy Teuma (Reims) and Ismaël Kandouss (AA Gent), Van der Heyden would be the third to leave Union this summer. Van der Heyden had been working at Union since 2019 and was considered one of the strongholds and a crowd favorite. Thanks to his good performances at the Brussels club, he even decorated a selection and a cap as a Red Devil in March 2022. (vva, ybw)
