Juventus starts after 1 in 12 with a difficult victory against low flyer Lecce

Juventus knows how to win again. It ended Wednesday evening during the 33rd round in Serie A with a series of four games without a win (one draw, three defeats). Low flyer Lecce narrowly lost 2-1.

The Old Lady took the lead in its own Allianz Stadium on fifteen minutes via Leandro Paredes. Assan Ceesay (36.) equalized from eleven meters, but Filip Kostic (41.) already gave the host a new bonus a handful of minutes later. Both teams saw a goal disallowed for offside in the first half. There were no more goals after the break.

In the standings of the Italian highest football division, Juve jumps at least temporarily over Lazio to second place with 63 points. That is sixteen less than leader Napoli, which is a stone’s throw from the national title. That can already be a fact on Wednesday evening, if Lazio cannot beat mid-engine Sassuolo at home.
