Emma Meesseman opened the semi-finals of the Turkish play-offs and with Fenerbahce Istanbul with a beautiful win against rival Galatasaray. The Belgian Cat led the brand new Euroleague winner to an 84-60 win with an almost triple-double.

“There is not much time to enjoy,” said Emma Meesseman late Sunday evening in a hotel in the Czech capital Prague. “We are already taking the plane to Istanbul to open the semi-finals of the Turkish play-offs on Tuesday evening.” Fenerbahce was treated to a wonderful reception by the noisy fans and with the Euroleague Cup in their hands. Fenerbahce was tired after the Euroleague Final Four but was pushed to victory by the fans. After a 45-42 score halfway through, it went to an 84-60 victory. Emma Meesseman scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists and almost succeeded in a triple-double. The score in this best of three is 1-0. Thursday is the second match in Galatasaray. In the event of a loss, Fenerbahce may play a decisive third game at home.
