Atlético Madrid narrowly won the top match against Real Betis on matchday 27 of La Liga. The game seemed to be heading for a brilliant score for a long time, but in the 86th minute Angel Correa still provided the liberating goal: it became 1-0. Yannick Carrasco was substituted on for Atlético after 84 minutes, Axel Witsel came on in the same minute.
Thanks to the narrow victory, Atlético is again approaching 5 points from city rivals Real Madrid, which is second. It also increases the gap with first pursuer Real Sociedad to 6 points and puts number five Betis at 9 points.
