Still out for the Red Devils, but fit again just in time for his club: Stade Rennes can count on Jérémy Doku again

After an absence of several weeks due to injury, Rennes coach Bruno Génésio can count on Jérémy Doku again on Saturday. The twenty-year-old winger is in the match selection for the league match against Loïs Openda’s Racing Lens, on the 29th matchday in Ligue 1.

Doku injured his hamstring in the league game against Marseille on March 5 and has not played since. For Rennes he therefore missed the league matches against Auxerre and Paris Saint-Germain, and for the Red Devils the recent international matches against Sweden and Germany.

Brand new national coach Domenico Tedesco had initially included Doku in his 24-man selection for his first diptych. To the dissatisfaction of Génésio, Doku had to report to the Devils, where he was soon allowed to leave the selection. PSV winger Johan Bakayoko was called up as a substitute and celebrated his debut in Sweden a few days later with an assist for Romelu Lukaku’s third goal.
