The belle in Schio, Italy, was an exciting match. After a 39-31 deficit halfway, the Spanish Valencia came back: 48-47. In the final phase, Schio pushed through to a 62-53 victory. Kim Mestdagh signed with the Italian champion for 3 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist.
Emma Meesseman had already qualified for the Final Four of the Euroleague last week with Fenerbahce Istanbul and with a sweep (2-0) against Sopron. The Final Four will take place on Friday, April 14 and Sunday, April 16 at one of the four participating teams. Kim Mestdagh, who won the WNBA title with Emma Meesseman and Washington Mystics in 2019, will compete with Emma Meesseman and the Turkish Fenerbahce Istanbul in the semifinals with Schio.
The second semi-final is between the Czech Prague and the Turkish Mersin. Emma Meesseman, like Ann Wauters, has already won the Euroleague four times, and is favorite for the European club title with Fenerbahce Istanbul. Kim Mestdagh has never won the Euroleague.
