Arsenal right back in derby after European elimination, Leandro Trossard again good for assist

Arsenal are one step closer to their first English title since 2004. The Gunners won the London derby against Crystal Palace 4-1. Leandro Trossard again provided an assist.

Arsenal had something to make up for after being surprisingly eliminated from the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon earlier this week. A witty answer came in the London derby against Crystal Palace. At half time it was already 2-0 after goals from Martinelli and Saka. Ten minutes after the break, Xhaka made it 3-0 on a pass from Leandro Trossard.

The books were not completely closed afterwards, because Crystal Palace threatened to get back into the match with Schlupp’s 3-1. Saka, however, put things in order with his second goal of the day. The final score was 4-1, Trossard was substituted after 65 minutes.

Arsenal are now 8 points ahead of only remaining rivals Manchester City in the Premier League, although the Citizens have played a game less.
