FC Barcelona and Real Madrid face each other in the Clasico on Sunday evening. If Real wants to keep their dream of the title alive, it is better to beat their great rival in Camp Nou.

After all, leader Barcelona has 9 points more than the number two in the standings. But as good as it is on the field, it is as bad off it. The team is in the eye of the storm after it became known that FC Barcelona would have bribed one of the top men of the Spanish referee commission for years. The club would have paid a total of more than 7 million euros.

The Spanish media is storming over Barça gate as the scandal has been baptized. No referee has yet confirmed that they have cooperated, but the relationship between the Catalan club and the other clubs from La Liga has soured considerably. Meanwhile, Barcelona chairman Laporta firmly bites off that his club has done nothing wrong.

Real Madrid feels wronged and even filed a civil suit in the case. The usual presidential dinner for the Claico will therefore not take place. It promises to be a competition in a sour atmosphere.
