The Copa de la Reina (Spanish Cup Apotheosis) will take place in Huelva from today until Sunday. The Antwerp Belgian Cat Antonia Delaere will be looking for a trophy with Avenida Salamanca.

After the first round in the LF Endesa and therefore after fifteen match days, the top eight of the rankings have qualified for the Copa de la Reina, the Spanish cup apotheosis. This is always completed at one location and will take place this year from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 March. The participating teams include no fewer than four Belgian Cats. At Avenida Salamanca, Antwerp Belgian Cat Antonia Delaere is looking for a win.

Delaere will play the quarter-final against Gernika with Avenida on Friday at 6 p.m. Avenida Salamanca, like Valencia, is in the lead in the LF Endesa with 21 out of 26. They are co-favorites for the win. “A cup apotheosis with possibly three matches in as many days is particularly tough and you also have to have a bit of luck. We are taking it step by step and initially hope to qualify for Saturday's semi-final,” said Delaere.

Year-old twins Billie and Becky Massey (ex-Kangaroos Mechelen) also present

The twins Billie and Becky Massey, who can blow out 24 candles today, are also present at the Copa de la Reina in Huelva. Just like Antonia Delaere, they received their training at the Topsportschool in Wilrijk. They played together at Sint-Katelijne-Waver and at Kangaroos Mechelen. In addition to Belgian success and the Young Cats, they have also been part of the Belgian Cats selection for several years now.

Billie attended the Olympic Games in Tokyo and Becky would normally celebrate her Olympic debut next summer in Paris. Last season they played together at Estudiantes Madrid. Becky left the team from the capital and now plays for IDK Euskotren. Tonight at 6 p.m. she will face favorite Valencia with IDK Euskotren.

Billie Massey plays with Estudiantes Madrid against Girona tonight at 8:30 PM. “It's the first time we don't play in the same club and it was a nice reunion on Wednesday in the hotel in Huel
