Standard defeated Zulte Waregem 3-0 at the SL16 Football Campus in the semi-finals. Noémie Gelders (41.), Zoe Van Eynde (52.) and Hanne Merkelbach (72.) scored the goals from Liège. The women from Genk had all their sheep in the dry in the Municipal Sports Center in Aalter against Club Brugge after hits from Chiara Wielockx (26.) and Sofie Vendelbo (31.). Blauw-zwart got no further than Davinia Vanmechelen’s 1-2 after the break, which was also the final score.

The women of Standard are playing their seventeenth cup final, the fifth in a row. The Rouches are aiming for a ninth final victory, after 1986, 1989, 1990, 1995, 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2018. Genk previously played a final, which it lost to Standard in Eupen in 2018.

Last season, champion RSC Anderlecht was crowned cup winner. The Purple & White then defeated Standard 3-0 in the final. The women from Liège took revenge this year in the eighth finals and beat the Purple & White.
