Barcelona played the last half hour with one man less after red for defender Ronald Araujo. Ferran Torres had just missed a penalty kick for the Blaugrana.
The victory brought Barcelona to 62 points after 24 match days. First pursuer Real Madrid follows on ten points, but will play at Betis later on Sunday. On Thursday, Barcelona won 0-1 in Madrid in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
