The General Meeting of Anderlecht has approved the annual accounts for the past 2022-2023 season. The annual accounts themselves are not yet available for consultation, but Anderlecht has communicated the figures themselves.

The General Meeting of Anderlecht has approved and communicated about the annual accounts of the past 2022-2023 season. It was a season in which Anderlecht reached the quarter-finals of the Conference League, but the Champions’ Play-Offs in their own competition.

Turnover increased and passed the 100 million euro mark for the first time. In the 2021-2022 season, turnover was still 78.5 million euros, but it has now increased by no less than 29 percent to 101.2 million euros.

The outgoing transfers of Sergio Gomez (Manchester City) and Julien Duranville (Borussia Dortmund) contributed to the increase in turnover, as did the increased commercial and operational income.

The wage bill fell further by approximately 4 percent to 54.7 million euros.

“Despite some exceptional costs, the club has recorded a striking increase in operating profit of 24 million euros,” a club statement further states. “With -€2,956,969.52 (Earnings Before Interest and Tax), the club is doing no less than 89 percent better than the -€27,355,103.59 of the 2021-2022 season. The final net result of -€6,114,201.50 is initially lower than that of 2021-2022 (€1,273,891.40), but that balance was strongly influenced by the conditional cancellation of debts by main shareholder Alychlo in the 2021-2022 season.”
