Kylian Mbappé has expressed his support for teammate Neymar, who had to go to the side with an ankle injury in the match against Lille (4-3). The euphoria of the victory, which was given shape, among other things, by a magical free kick from Lionel Messi, was tempered by Neymar leaving the field in tears and on a stretcher in the second half.

PSG confirmed on the basis of an MRI scan that Neymar has an ankle sprain without a fracture, a new check will follow on Tuesday.

Kylian Mbappé, who scored twice against Lille, encouraged his teammate on Instagram: “Stay strong, the whole team is waiting for you very soon. Go on, my brother.”

The length of Neymar’s absence is unknown, but he is expected to miss the PSG-Marseille clash on Sunday. There is uncertainty about his participation in the second leg in the Champions League against Bayern Munich (8 March). The player’s entourage is optimistic, hoping for a two-week absence that would allow him to play the Champions League return against Bayern.
