It was the second straight win for the Lakers. Saturday was won 103-109 at champion Golden State Warriors. That happened without James, who missed three games due to an ankle injury. Now the star player seemed completely fit again. With 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, James was not the Top Performer for the Lakers. Anthony Davis had a bigger share in the victory with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Newcomer D’Angelo Russell immediately won the favor of the crowd in the Crypto.com Arena with 21 points.

In the Eastern Conference, leader Boston recorded a logical 127-109 victory against last-place Denver thanks to Jayson Tatum (38 pts, 9 rbds, 7 assists).
Mikal Bridges scored a career-high 45 points with the Brooklyn Nets, who defeated the Miami Heat 116-195. Along the way, Cam Johnson made the point of the evening with a blind shot.
Oklahoma City defeated Houston 133-96. Philadelphia beat Cleveland 118-112, Memphis beat Utah 117-11, Charlotte beat San Antonio 120-110, and Indiana beat Chicago 117-113. Atlanta suffered a 101-122 home loss to New York.
