Cyriel Dessers helps Philippe Clement and Rangers win against Kilmarnock with an assist

The match was evenly matched for a long time, but before halftime Rangers stepped up a gear. Via Ross McCausland and Abdallah Sima it was suddenly 2-0 in five minutes. Cyriel Dessers provided the assist for the first goal. Later in the match, our compatriot was replaced by Fabio Silva (ex-Anderlecht), who made his debut for the Rangers.

In the second half Danny Armstrong scored the tying goal for Kilmarnock, but the visitors could not enjoy it for long. Three minutes later, Todd Cantwell made it 3-1 again. That was also the final score at Ibrox Stadium.

With the victory, Rangers, where Nicolas Raskin played minutes for the first time since his ankle injury (sustained in October), temporarily reduces their gap to leader Celtic to five points. Rangers’ eternal rival will be in action later in the evening. Last weekend Philippe Clement suffered his first defeat as a Scottish employee against Celtic.
