Jong Genk played the home game on Friday in an empty Freethiel stadium in Beveren, to save the field in the Cegeka Arena for next Sunday’s top match against Antwerp. Fans were not welcome so neither team had home field advantage.
For Lommel, Costa Rican attacker Alonso Martinez scored the 0-1. Martinez pushed in his second of the evening less than ten minutes later from close range after a ball stuck in front of Anderlecht’s goal. Ishaq Abdulrazak made the connection goal for Anderlecht in the 65th minute. Lommel handed over the game in the end. Abdulrazak shot the 2-2 on the board with a beautiful long shot.
