VIDEO. Ex-Anderlecht player Wesley Hoedt makes a mistake at Watford with a very clumsy own goal

Playing a ball back to the keeper without looking where it is: never a good idea. And from now on Welsey Hoedt also knows this. The ex-player of RSC Anderlecht and Antwerp was visiting Coventry with his club Watford FC two weekends ago when Hoedt scored a very clumsy own goal with a 1-2 lead.

Hoedt was put under pressure by a Coventry attacker and decided to play the ball back to his keeper Daniel Bachmann. Without looking, the Dutchman had not seen that Bachmann was far from goal. He tried to stop the ball with a tackle, without success. Own goal by Hoedt and the 2-2 on the scoreboard. Watford would make it 2-3, but saw the equalizer come in the 87th minute. Hoedt and Watford are eighteenth in the English second division after five games.
