Thibaut Courtois stayed on the bench at Real and watched his teammates fall two goals behind before half-time after goals from Tomori (25.) and Romero (42.). Valverde (57. and 59.) single-handedly tied the score, after which Vinicius Junior (84.) gave Real the victory with 3-2.

At Milan, Alexis Saelemaekers and Charles De Ketelaere came on twenty minutes before the end. The Italian top club, on the other hand, no longer seems to count on Divock Origi, who signed a contract until June 2026 last summer, but seems to be aiming for a transfer.

In the margins of the game there was a scary moment with former West Ham and Newcastle keeper Shaka Hislop in a leading role. Hislop, 54, who played as an international for Trinidad and Tobago, was working as an analyst for ESPN in California when he collapsed on live television during a conversation off the pitch.

ESPN presenter Dan Thomas immediately called for help before later giving a positive update on London-born Hislop. “Shaka is conscious. Doctors are taking care of him,” he said on Twitter. At half-time, Thomas gave more details about the condition of Hislop, who also defended the colors of Reading, Portsmouth and Dallas. The presenter then announced that the ex-keeper could talk.
