Last year he caused a furore at the Kiel, but now there is a good chance that Moises Caicedo (21) will move from Brighton to an English top club. Both Arsenal and Chelsea want to incorporate the Ecuadorian, which means a corresponding asking price: 90 million euros.

Caicedo was loaned to Beerschot by Brighton & Hove Albion in the 2021-2022 season. The defensive midfielder made quite an impression in that. Despite his young age, he immediately secured a starting place in the team that would relegate from the Jupiler Pro League later that season. Unfortunately for the Antwerp club, Caicedo was already called back to England in January of last year.

Things have been going fast for the South American since this season. He conquered a starting place at the club from the Premier League, was allowed to taste the World Cup with Ecuador and is now close to a transfer to one of the top clubs from London. Arsenal already made an offer of just under seventy million euros, but caught the eye of the club from whom it previously plucked Leandro Trossard for thirty million euros. Arsenal would now prepare a new offer of 90 million euros, but in the meantime Chelsea has also joined the dance. The Blues would also be happy to incorporate the midfielder.

The chance that Caicedo will still stay with his current employer is almost non-existent. He would have set his sights on a new adventure and Brighton&Hove itself is also willing to cooperate in a transfer, provided the necessary money is available.
